Application Forms and Festival Rules
We look forward to welcoming you to the THIMUN Qatar Northwestern Film Festival. The Festival will be open to any student between the ages of 13-18 and is registered in an accredited school with an active MUN program. High school students are challenged to create original pieces of work that are documentary in style and are issue based.
All films must contain original footage and music. Copyrighted images must have minimal usage and be citied. All music used must be non-copyrighted. Films must be between two and seven minutes in length.

The Film Festival will culminate with a Grand Awards ceremony held in hotel in Doha. All submitted films will be reviewed by the THIMUN Qatar Film Festival staff and a short list will be created. Films will be selected for awards by judges from the Northwestern University -Qatar community. There will be a Grand Prize for the Best Picture as prize for numerous other categories focus on excellence in the artistic design, technical features, and message of the film. Students who have their films nominated for the Best Picture award will be flown out to Doha to attend the Film Festival. The anticipated Grand Prize value of the Best Picture will be around 2500 Euro. All award winning films will recieving cash prizes and trophies.
